Appointment + Consultation
Although most women choose to have their consultation and treatment done at the same appointment, we will take your lead! Every client, at every appointment, will receive a complimentary consultation with our expert cosmetic injector, Brett Ashley McMillan. You will be educated on the process and your customized “Before” pictures will be obtained before the treatment begins.

The Filler Treatment
Prior to treatment, you will be topically numbed with a compounded mix of lidocaine, benzocaine, and tetrocaine. This starts working immediately and many of our clients report it works more effectively than a painful dental block. Our dermal filler treatments are not lengthy either. They are performed by an expert cosmetic injector who utilizes precision, visual artistry, and skill for effective product placement so when we hand you the mirror – you are WOWed – and can see an instant improvement with a more youthful appearance! Brett will then obtain your “After” photos and prepare these for you so you can see for yourself a natural and beautiful result.

The Results

- What's the difference between Dermal Fillers and Botox?

Botox is a neurotoxin that helps treat wrinkles and other signs of aging caused by repeated muscle movements. On the other hand, dermal fillers in Bozeman replace lost tissue volume due to the natural aging process and can plump away deeper, non-dynamic wrinkles. Dermal filler in Bozeman is also used to shape and contour areas such as the lips (our most popular treatment!).
- Is a Dermal Filler treatment painful?

Even though we will be using a very small needle during the treatment, the topical numbing cream we use is powerful and eliminates discomfort. Your nurse injector, Brett, is also extremely skilled and is not a heavy-handed injector. Her delicate touch and the numbing cream make these popular treatments easy and comfortable. To be honest, every client reports, “That wasn’t nearly as painful as I thought it would be,” after their treatment!
- How much filler will I need?

Our expert nurse injector Brett has a keen eye for artistry. Because she is able to perfectly place product to give clients the aesthetic result they are looking for, she uses much less product than most Medspa’s. This helps control costs for you while also following a conservative approach that will leave all clients looking naturally enhanced but not overdone. Keep in mine that not one face is the same, so we cannot predict what you may need without seeing you in person. - Are there any side effects with Dermal Fillers and will I bruise?

Mild swelling and bruising are expected after receiving a dermal filler treatment. Unfortunately, there is NOTHING injectors can do to prevent or minimize swelling or bruising other than providing blood thinning protocols prior to your treatment! How long bruising will last will vary person to person, however, for most people bruising goes away between 3-7 days. To minimize bruising, follow this protocol 4-5 days before and after your filler treatment(s): Avoid alcohol, ibuprofen, Aleve, fish oil, Vitamin E, and tumeric. Consume fresh pineapple and consider applying topical Arnica gel or consuming Arnica supplements as these items have anti-inflammatory enzymes in them that will help prevent bruising. These little tricks really do work wonders!
- I'm considering getting lip filler. Do you recommend a 1/2 syringe or a full syringe?

Unless you have a lot of natural ‘lip real estate,’ 99% of the time at Juniper we are starting clients with only a 1/2 syringe of dermal filler. We follow a conservative lip building aesthetic plan for our clients that has proven to work perfectly over the years. Injecting a full syringe into virgin lips can pose a lot of problems for women (tissue breakdown, severe swelling and pain, risk for lumps and bumps, filler migration from overwhelming the lip tissue, etc.), so Juniper follows a ‘marathon approach’ to beautiful lips, versus sprinting. We don’t rush perfection here at Juniper and because we’ve always followed this conservative approach, we are happy to report we NEVER run into any issues with our treatments.
- I see a lot of 'bad filler' results and I've been terrified of this treatment for years. Help!

Whether you’re scared because of some of the poor results you’ve seen or you’ve already had a bad experience with filler, take note! It is NOT THE FILLER that created the problem. Unfortunately it is the skill level and poor techniques of the injector that caused these less than desirable results. And understandably, one poor experience can scare anyone away from these treatments for the rest of their life. But it doesn’t have to be that way. - I'm worried if I get lip filler, my natural lip shape might give me that 'duck lip' look. What causes that?

Many women worry about this. But the ‘duck lips’ are actually caused by the injector giving you the treatment. Duck lips are caused by poor injecting technique. Lip filler, done correctly, should look natural and balanced and that’s why it’s so important to see hundreds of examples of Before + After photos of your chosen injector’s work.
- I hear the filler you use at Juniper lasts 16 months plus. What if I get a treatment and then decide that I don't like it? Am I stuck with it and will I have to wait 16 months for it to wear off?

Good question! The answer is simple: No. You’re actually not stuck with it! You would be the first client to not love their filler treatment but we have a product called Hylenex that can dissolve filler. It works fast, too. It dissolves the filler immediately and continues working up to 24 hours. Hylenex is injected into the area of concern and then massaged by our injector. In Juniper, we are using Hylenex to fix bad filler jobs (botched treatments) that clients have received elsewhere. It’s an amazing product in and of itself!
