During your consultation, we will assess your skin tone and hair color, review medical history, explain how the technology works, map out your treatment area, create a personalized treatment plan, and to go over pricing.

Pre-Care Includes: 

• Avoid sun exposure and self-tanner for 2 weeks
  
• Shave the treatment area 24 hours prior
  
• Do not wax, tweeze, or use chemical creams that dissolve hair for 4+ weeks
• Avoid retinoids and chemical exfoliants that remove dead skin on the area for 3–5 days prior

At your appointment, the area will be cleansed and prepped. You’ll wear protective eyewear, and we’ll apply the MotusAZ sapphire cooling tip directly to the skin.

Using the Moveo motion technique, your provider will glide the handpiece back and forth over the area while gradually delivering energy into the follicles. Most clients feel gentle warmth — not the sharp snap associated with older lasers.

A typical session lasts anywhere from 5–30 minutes, depending on the size of the area. There is no downtime, and you can return to work, errands, or your workout right away (as long as it’s not overly sweaty).

After treatment, mild redness, warmth, or a temporary histamine-like reaction is normal and typically resolves within a few hours. To protect your skin and optimize results, avoid heat exposure such as saunas, hot tubs, and intense or sweaty workouts for 24 hours, and limit sun exposure for 1–2 weeks. Gentle exfoliation may begin around day four to help release treated hairs, which will naturally start to shed approximately 10–14 days after treatment.

You’ll begin noticing results gradually as treated hairs shed over 1–2 weeks. With each session, hair grows back lighter, finer, slower, less dense, and eventually, won’t grow back at all!

Most clients notice a significant reduction in hair by session 3–4, with full results typically achieved after 6 sessions depending on the body area, hormones, and hair type.

After completing your package series with us, as needed maintenance sessions may be recommended to keep the hair from growing back. These are recommended 1–2 times per year for optimal long-term smoothness and hair reduction. Rest assured, all maintenance sessions are considerably discounted for our wonderful Juniper clients.
